Blessings 365: Day 228: The Boxcar Children...literally

I just finished reading the first 3 books in The Boxcar Children series out loud to the kids at bedtime.  I remember reading them to Katelyn and Josh....so it was extra special to read these books again to the next "round" of kiddos!!

What's even more fun than reading aloud is seeing the kiddos get into the books and begin to play "boxcar children."

 On this night (just a couple of weeks ago...I'm catching up on my blogging!), Annie called me outside so we could ride our "horses" over to her boxcar where she "fed me dinner."
I love reading to my kids!

I love when they use their imaginations!
Combine those two....using their imaginations to act out books I've read to them...and you've got one happy mama!

    One of my childhood favorites! In fact, we may even have this series on the bookshelf from my older kids and it is time to get it out for my 2 younger kids!
