I realize the opening ceremonies to the olympics were on a Friday night.
If you happen to be keeping up with the blessings day vs. the actual day, you'll realize that this post is on a Saturday.
But, sorry, we couldn't stay up until midnight watching TV.
We liked most of the ceremonies, especially the lighting of the flame (although we really thought David Beckham should have been the one to light the flame).
But our favorite part, by far, was watching all the different countries coming in.
We had out our map and were furiously searching for the countries.
Some of them we'd never heard of or had NO idea where they were located:
Timor-Leste
Tuvalu
Vanuatu
Mauritius
Then came Uganda. Our whole family cheered and jumped up and down.
Then came USA. Our whole family cheered and jumped up and down.
Scott and I just laughed. Where is home?
We proudly cheered for USA all during the olympics.
But we also cheered for Uganda.
