I've realized something about myself.
I have a "thing" about darkness.
I should have known because I bought all my kids hand cranked flashlights before moving to Uganda (they all broke before we even got here).
And I had my mom buy tiny clip on flashlights for everyone.
I've always been a sucker for flashlights...don't even get Scott started on how much money we've spent over the years on flashlights!
I don't like to be in complete darkness....and that happens a lot here in Uganda. The power goes off all the time at night (leaving us in...you guessed it...complete darkness).
In fact, all the phones here have flashlights (or torches, as they're called here) built into them.
So when my sweet friend bought me a solar lantern...she was speaking my love language!!
