Blessings 365: Day 140: A charcoal stove

Today was really interesting.  I woke up this morning to NO gas for our stove.  It ran out yesterday and I didn't even realize it.  So Scott went into Gulu to buy more....and there's no cooking gas in Gulu.  Isn't that fun?!?

Our stove has one electric burner, so I plugged the stove in and boiled water (for tea) and used the waffle iron for breakfast.  

Then the power went out...for the rest of the day!  So no gas and no power.  How does a mom cook??



With a charcoal stove!!

I'm so thankful for our charcoal stove!  I made potato soup for supper on it.  Scott even fried some bacon and we attempted to toast some bread on it.  

Such a lifesaver on this crazy day!

    Yes, Ma'am, a stove is a blessing. I guess i take for granted my oven here in the states that we use every day. Thank you Lord!!!
