I remember as a child writing to my missionary friends. We would write letters on thin airmail paper. We would write in the tiniest print possible to squeeze as much info as possible into the letter. Then we would mail it and they wouldn't even get it for a minimum of 2 weeks. We only saw them once every 2 years (or more).
Now I can send an email and it gets to someone instantly. I can skype and see my kiddos, parents, and siblings right on the screen. We can be on facebook and keep up with what our friends in America are doing (which isn't always good when it's snowing in America or when our friends are eating at Chick Fil A...but is great when friends have babies and other exciting things like that).
We are blessed.
