Then comes a story of adventure, danger, and heroic rescue. All the stories involve Nate, Annie, or Garrett and their stuffed animals or invisible friends.
Garrett will tell me a story like this, "One time this bully was at Jo Jo's school and Jo Jo locked himself in the bathroom and he was stuck in there until school ended." or "One time me and Jo Jo went on a safari and Jo Jo saw a lion. Then the lion roared at us and Jo Jo jumped on his back and pulled his mane and then he ran away." or "One time me and Jo Jo went me and Jo Jo got on a rocket and went to Mars and we saw the martians from Phineas and Ferb."

Or the kids will be swinging outside and Nate will tell me, "One time me and Chase were swinging and Chase went so high that when he jumped out he touched a cloud." or "One time me and Chase were playing hide and go seek and he hid up in a tree and I couldn't find him and he had to sleep there all night. And this cat climbed up the tree and tried to eat him, so he had to jump down and he broke his leg and I had to take him to the hospital."

| Nate is sick today and didn't feel like posing for a picture with Chase. So here is a picture of Chase and Nate on the plane over to Uganda. |
Annie loves to tell us stories about Ally, her imaginary friend...."One time, Ally's dad died and her mom was telling people in India about Jesus and so Ally had to live in a boarding school. And the girls were mean to her and she just wanted to go home. So she ran away and started walking to India to find her mom." Ally's stories are usually pretty tragic and almost always involve Ally being an orphan. However, the "good news" is that Ally has moved with her mom to Gulu (dad #4 has recently died) and she lives nearby! lol
So blessed by my kids' wonderful imaginations!!
