Monday's blessing was a "no brainer." lol After a year of wanting to work in a babies home or orphanage....we are finally there! What a blessing!!
I took Melissa, Benji, Laura, and Annie with me for our first day. On Wednesday, the little boys will go, too. But for our first day, figuring out where we were going and what we were doing...having 2 rambunctious little boys seemed a little too much!
We had a wonderful 2 hours...full of getting babies out of bed after naps, feeding them bottles, playing with them, changing diapers, getting spit up on (poor Laura...all down her back), seeing lots of precious smiles, visiting with the mamas who lovingly work with the babies, hearing tons of sweet coos and gurgles, feeding the babies pureed chicken and sweet potatoes for the first time, and then putting babies down for naps again. We have definitely found our calling!!
At Watoto, we have total freedom to take pictures...but on our first visit there, it just didn't feel right to pull out the camera! I promise that next week we will have pictures to post of us with sweet babies like Matthew, Patrick, Zoe, Rose and Jacinta (twins), Lona, Stuart, Eric, Isaac and Jacob (twins), James, and others. You're gonna fall in love....I promise!
