Blessings 365: Day 249: Apps for free texting

This has been an emotional time for me as a mom on one continent with adult children on another continent.

I recently got a call from my daughter in OKC that she was heading to the ER.

I have an app on my phone that gives me an American phone number so we could text back and forth for free.

I was able to "be there" with her during the entire visit as we texted back and forth.

She has an inguinal hernia and has to have surgery.  Because of insurance requirements, she can't have the surgery until after October 9th....and I'll be home and can be with her in real life!!  

I'm so thankful to be able to text family and friends for free!!
