Blessings 365: Day 91: Blessing before sickness

As you know we've had a sickness going through our family.  It's lasted a grand total of 11 days....making its rounds through everyone except Beni (so far!!).  In fact, 3 kiddos are still feeling a little icky, but no one is flat out, stuck in bed, sick.  Thank you, Jesus!!


On Saturday we had a surprise baby shower for a friend here in Gulu!  A sweet precious friend that everyone loves (I'm going to blog more about her in a few days!!).  The girls were going to the shower and the dads and boys were going swimming.  Poor Melissa was sick and had to miss the shower, but Laura, Annie and I were able to go and Scott took Benji, Nate, and Garrett swimming.


Garrett had such a fun time jumping and splashing and playing in the pool. He came home so excited to tell me all about it.  And then a few hours later, IT hit him.  Poor sweet guy came down with the bug...

If you look closely, you can see our black cat, Ember, curled up by his arm.  Garrett loves Ember and she loves him.  She was very protective of him while he was sick and kept loving on him and sleeping by him.  So sweet!

 So thankful he got to swim BEFORE he got sick!!

Nate was running a fever on Friday night, but never got sick and then got the stomach bug on Sunday morning.  So thankful that we are THROUGH with this bug and we all survived!!  It was NO fun!!
