What are our financial needs?

Maybe you've watched our video and are now wondering how you can help? What are our financial needs?

We are in Boot Camp in OKC until December 17th, then we'll be in Arkansas until January 8th (at the latest). At that point we fly to Uganda and finish Boot Camp by completing a 4 month internship with Cari Nash. Since plane tickets for our family will be so expensive, the plan in that we will just stay in Uganda (rather than fly back home for the graduation ceremony from Boot Camp). So basically we're buying one way tickets to Uganda!

The following is our monthly budget while we're in OKC:
School tuition: $1060
Housing: $520
Electric: $100
Internet: $30
Food: $500
Car Insurance and Renter's Insurance: $185
Gas: $200
Cell Phone: $100
Life Insurance: $81
Savings/Emergency Fund: $300

That is a grand total of $3076/ month. We have a little less than ½ our monthly support raised. Thank you SO MUCH to those who have blessed us so far!

So what does that mean? It means we need $40 people to sponsor us $40/month. Or 50 people to give $32/month. Or 16 people to give $100/month! It's tax deductible and can be done online!! How convenient!

We truly believe this is where God would have us be and we KNOW that He will provide all our needs. But He wants to use the Body of Christ in His mission. Our armed forces in Iraq only have about 30% of the troops on the front lines. The other 70% are in the background....supporting. That's what we need....supporters in the background helping us do the work here in OKC (and soon in Uganda!).

Our classes in Boot Camp are amazing and we totally feel like we are being prepared for a life on the mission field of Uganda. And our ministry work and our apartment complex....well, that's a mission field right here in OKC!! God is using our work with the refugees in Jaime's Landing, helping at the food pantry, ministering to Iraqi refugees in our apartment complex, and our work with drug addicts and strippers at Joe's Addiction to minister to hurting people who need Jesus right here in America.
