Nomads was GREAT!! For our family, it was both a good time and a bad time....but Nomads was GREAT!!
We had a great drive up there. Scott had the boys and I had the girls. Ü But as we were registering for the weekend Josh called to say that his car had broken down somewhere south of OKC. Oh dear....
Before we could take care of Josh we had to assemble our tents. We had assembled one of the tents last year at Nomads, but the other one we'd never put together (and we didn't even have a picture).
We had a great drive up there. Scott had the boys and I had the girls. Ü But as we were registering for the weekend Josh called to say that his car had broken down somewhere south of OKC. Oh dear....
Before we could take care of Josh we had to assemble our tents. We had assembled one of the tents last year at Nomads, but the other one we'd never put together (and we didn't even have a picture).
It took about 2 hours to get the tents up, then Scott was able to go help Josh. Whew!! Another 3 hours later, and Scott and Josh were FINALLY at Nomads (pulling Josh's dead car on a u-haul car hitch) and we were TOGETHER as a family!!
Since worship had already started Scott was going to change clothes really quickly, when we realized that we'd left his suitcase at home. OH NO!!! What next?? Well, we actually found out later that Scott's pillows had flown out of the back of the truck....
We knew that this was an attack from Satan and we prayed over the rest of our weekend. Worship was amazing!! What a powerful time spent praising King Jesus!!

Nomads is a wonderful weekend...whether you're single or coming with your family. Camping, eating new foods, worshipping Jesus, getting rained on.....and being reminded of the Great Commission....our CALL to GO into all the world.
