So who's at boot camp with us?

There are 10 of us at Boot Camp (well, including kids there's 18). It's been really great getting to know everyone....different personalities, backgrounds, and future plans. We've enjoyed becoming a community here at Westview Apartments. Our fellow Boot Campers regularly filter through our apartment...either all of us eating together, having a reading party (to finish an assigned book!), or one or two just stopping by because others are out working and there's nothing else to do. We love the feeling of family...it's GREAT!!!

We don't know where everyone is going once we leave Boot Camp. I want to be very careful not to compromise anyone's safety once they're on the field, so I won't be posting pictures of anyone. Also, I've decided to give everyone nicknames rather than referring to them by their real names.


So who's at Boot Camp with us??


First, there's The Mountie. He's a single guy who's from Canada. Awesome guy with a heart for Jesus. It's been neat to watch him trust God to provide for all his needs. He got the word from God to attend Boot Camp a week before it started, so he obeyed. He came with no financial supporters, no furniture, no idea where he was living, nothing....he just obeyed. He's engaged to the kids' teacher (who will be referred to as The Mountie's Love).

Next is Pony Girl. She's from Texas and loves horses!! She's got a heart for Muslims. She's kind of quiet....so it's been fun getting to know her over the past couple of weeks. She likes to spend time with our kids...and then go back to the quiet of her apartment (lol...that probably describes all the Boot Campers!).

The Aggie and his wife, Biker Girl, have a heart to use agriculture to minister to others who don't know Jesus. They also have a really cool motorcycle that they ride most places. They are a lot of fun...it's been great spending time with them.

Thai Guy and his Wife have 2 children. They have a heart for victims of human trafficking. Their testimonies are amazing!! They are a testimony of how God makes all things new (well, technically, aren't we all!). We've really enjoyed hanging out with them (and we love to hold their baby!)

The Eskimo is a sweet girl from Alaska who is roomies with Kate. She cooks a mean stir fry! Ü In the past, she's worked with Nepali refugees and is praying about where God wants to use her in the world.

Then there's Katelyn....you all know her!

So that's us....our fellow Campers....our community of Jesus here at Westview....our friends!
